We experience an inner critical voice that tells us we are not good enough, ugly, or worthless. I love to provide a safe and comforting space for clients to process their difficult life experiences, break through cycles of shame, and begin recovery from addictive behaviors, which also includes eating and embodiment issues.
There is such a wide range of traumatic experiences we can endure and working through our history and trauma responses can seem unbearable. Let's focus on your resilience and hope for healing from your emotional wounds.
Sometimes it seems easier to rush into changing the way we feel with unhealthy coping strategies, including substance use or overeating. It is okay to ask for help and there is always hope for recovery.
Whether you are experiencing a depressed mood, low motivation, feelings of hopelessness, overwhelming thoughts and worry, or difficult sensations in your body, we can work together to get unstuck from your emotions and plant seeds of hope and recovery.
Self-Harming behavior can look different for different people, ranging from skin picking, hair pulling, dysfunctional eating patterns, cutting, or suicidal gestures. Sometimes it is hard to choose recovery, but I believe in you.
Trying to meet impossible standards of beauty takes a toll on our mental health and can lead to self-destructive behavior. You deserve to feel connected to and comfortable in your body. Together, we will celebrate your authentic beauty.
It is so easy to forget that you are born with worth and you are already enough each and every day. You deserve self-love and healing.
Together, we focus on healing, reclaiming health, practicing intuitive self-care, celebrating your authentic self and beauty, and cultivating self-love. I value body positivity, welcoming people of all body sizes, cultures, and gender expression. Let’s begin your therapy journey, calming your inner critical voice, embracing hope, and meeting the true you.
